Ballroom & Walled Garden
A modern setting of remarkable warmth and elegance, our Ballroom evokes old Charleston in attitude and aesthetic. A Viennese cast-brass palmetto chandelier and oversized gilded antique mirrors set the mood in this stylish 1,575-square-foot space accommodating up to 100 guests. White Oak parquet floors reminiscent of Versailles, as well as works by Charleston artist Douglas Balentine, specially commissioned for The Dewberry, add to the room’s opulent atmosphere.
Just beyond the Ballroom lies our traditional Charleston Walled Garden, featuring live oaks, historic brick walls draped by English ivy, bluestone walkways, and a raised garden.

Rivers Room & North Terrace
Located on the hotel’s 8th floor, the Rivers Room is a one-of-kind space not to be found anywhere else in Charleston. With indoor and outdoor capabilities, the space boasts sweeping views of the Charleston Harbor and Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge to the east and unparalleled views of Marion Square and the steepled skyline of the Holy City to the west. With 15-foot ceilings, this space provides beautiful natural lighting. Access the north outdoor terrace and soak in 360-degree views of the harbor and steepled skyline.

Do you have outdoor event spaces?
Yes. We offer two distinct outdoor settings connected to our first-floor Meeting Rooms, including The Ballroom and Walled Garden, as well as our eighth-floor rooftop spaces, Rivers Room and North Terrace Rooftop.
Can you buy out the Citrus Club for a private event?

Do you offer customizable floor plans?
Yes, all event spaces are fully customizable and can be arranged in a variety of configurations, including theater, classroom, boardroom, reception, and banquet-style layouts.
Is on-site catering available?
Yes. Our culinary team offers curated, seasonal menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, breaks, and receptions. Custom menus and dietary accommodations are available, along with bespoke desserts and wedding cakes created by our in-house pastry chef.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests?

What is your booking and cancellation policy?
All bookings require a signed agreement and deposit to confirm. Cancellation policies vary based on event size and timing and will be clearly outlined within your contract by your Sales Manager.
